Red Dust Holdings receive Western Australia’s first Loadrite L3180 Smart Payload Management System!

ABOUT Red Dust Holdings:
Red Dust Holdings is a Geraldton based business, offering late model, well maintained heavy machinery and equipment hire to the Civil Construction Industry across Australia. They specialise in Plant Hire (wet or dry) in Geraldton, Karratha, Kalgoorlie and all other WA locations.
Josh & Tanya Johnson, RDH Directors both believe keeping up with technology is an essential part of their business. That is why all their dozers, graders and excavators are equipped with Trimble GPS and their loaders with Trimble Loadrite on-board weighing systems.
The most recent addition to their fleet is a Loadrite L3180 – the most technically advanced unit available. The SmartScale is the next generation of onboard weighing that uses artificial intelligence for more accurate, precise and faster loading. It also connects machines and devices for the collection and syncing of loading data.

ABOUT the L3180:

With more precise weighing in a wide range of conditions including adjusting for rough terrain, operator technique and machine movement using new weighing artificial intelligence. The system also features digital CAN-bus sensors for noise immunity and ground slope compensation as standard.

The L3180 now offers in-cab performance KPIs (tonne/hour, tonnes, truck count) to help operators monitor performance and achieve daily targets. When using Trimble’s InsightHQ portal personnel can gain access to site production and operator performance KPIs on desktop or mobile devices. Data is presented in dashboard or graphical formats, including a new loadout performance heatmap, powered by a built-in GPS.

The L3180 now features a 5.7” touchscreen display, which is twice the size of previous generation scales. Colourful graphics, cleaner designer and the new touchscreen allow for faster menu navigation and interaction. New loading information detail including customer and product for each job can be customized on the interface by each operator to match their workflow and make it easier to see the right information for maximum productivity.

The eTickets function sends load information to any email, reducing the need for truck drivers to leave the cab while on site, and get back on the road quicker. eTickets can send a midday delivery update to the site foreman’s email for accurate and transparent materials delivery information.

A word from Josh Johnson, RDH Director:

“At RDH we pride ourselves on our superior customer service and quality of machinery. We have a support team of in-house mechanics that look after all our servicing and maintenance requirements.  They are available 24/7 on call and as a hire option to support our equipment on site. Because of this we felt safe to align ourselves with SITECH WA knowing that they have exceptional back up and support and have never let us down”.

“Now with the New Loadrite L3180 we have the option of sending our loader dockets directly to the office and to truck drivers emails if need be. It eliminates the need for the operator to keep getting in and out of the cab to deliver printed dockets. As well as saving time, it is a much safer option. I was amazed by the DIY reports that are generated from InsightHQ and the L3180. This will save the office staff time, with less data entry from a pile of paper dockets”.
